Born in 2019, The Casco Bay Bluefin Bonanza tournament stands as an annual tournament in the greater Portland area that not only provides a week’s worth of fun events on the water, but countless scholarships and charitable donations to Maine fishing community all year long.
Our teams have spent the cooler months reminiscing about sunny days at sea, and dreaming up a flavorful summertime brew that’s perfect for boat days, fishing in Maine, and reeling in good times all summer long.
After many samples, some oceanside R&D, and a lot of hard work, our teams at Casco Bay Bluefin Bonanza and Batson River polled our loyal fans to come up with the perfect name. Announcing the Bluefin Brew! Stay on the lookout for this delicious craft beer launch coming just in time for the Casco Bay Bluefin Bonanza Tuna Tournament!

Captain’s Meeting at Spring Point Marina

Fishing begins, scales open at 8:00am
Thursday, August 4, 2022:
Fishing continues. Scales Close at 10:00pm
Friday, August 5, 2022, 4pm – 8pm:
Dinner & Auction. Lots of great items available for auctions and raffles, Bluefin Bonanza apparel for sale and a Downeast lobster bake.
Saturday, August 6, 2022, 10am – 2pm :
Youth Day. Bring the kids down to learn about Bluefin tuna and other sea creatures from the GMRI team, learn fishing
techniques from the Bass Pro Shops pros and enter our green crab tournament.
Sunday, August 7, 2022, 12:01am:
Fishing resumes, scales open at 8am, Lines out at 4pm, scales close at 6pm.
