We’re here to bring all the fun, style, and energy of the Maine experience to downtown Portland. Bring that energy and style to your next event when you host at Batson River. Our Portland, Maine restaurant space is ideal for private events of all sizes, from rehearsal dinners to weddings, birthday parties to retirement celebrations, and everything in between! (Please note that we usually require a minimum of one months notice to properly execute large events) Food and beverage minimums may be required, in addition to room rental fees. Other fees such as service charges may apply.

The Mezzanine
Spacious Private Dining in a creative setting, overlooking the bar and restaurant.
Ideal for smaller groups, our upstairs game room offers space for a seated dinner for up to 30 guests and 45 guests in a cocktail-style event. Enjoy a fun atmosphere overlooking the entire restaurant. Bring all the energy and tomfoolery to your event at Batson River!

The Distillery Bar Room
A private bar with an optional open-air seating set the tone for an elevated event in our Distillery Bar
The distillery bar room is a swanky spot to host larger events. In the summer months, the garage doors can be opened up for the best of both worlds of an indoor/outdoor event.
The space offers casual or formal seating options, and a stunning marble bar. Curtains may be drawn to section the space off from the main restaurant, ensuring privacy & intimacy for your event. Customizable, including the option for full game-room style with shuffleboard, video games, darts, foosball, and more!

Portland private events are a standout with a full buy out of Batson River! Including the use of the Dining Room with fireplace, seating, and spacious bar, plus additional seating on the Mezzanine level and the Distillery Bar Room with it’s marble-topped bar and garage doors that welcome the outdoors inside (or keep it out when needed!)
Please note: Your Wedding Ceremony/Reception buy-out requires an event planner. Necessary rentals (chairs, plateware) are not included.
